Restorative Dentistry

Cerec

Cerec is a dental restoration product that allows a dental practitioner to produce an indirect ceramic dental restoration using a variety of computer assisted technologies, including 3D photography and CAD/CAM. With CEREC, teeth can be restored in a single appointment with the patient, rather than the multiple appointments required with older techniques. Additionally, with the latest software and hardware updates, crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays can be prepared, using different types of ceramic material.

Composite Fillings

Dental composite resins are tooth colored fillings. Composite Fillings are often used to replace silver fillings and are usually placed in one appointment. This type of material is often referred to as "bonding".

Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that is placed over a tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and/or to improve its appearance. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are metal posts or frames that are surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath your gums. Once in place, they allow your dentist to mount replacement teeth onto them.

Denture and Partial Dentures

Complete dentures can be either "conventional" or "immediate." Made after the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue has begun to heal, a conventional denture is ready for placement in the mouth about 8 to 12 weeks after the teeth have been removed.

A removable partial denture or bridge usually consists of replacement teeth attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is connected by metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth. Partial dentures are used when one or more natural teeth remain in the upper or lower jaw.

Fixed Bridges

A fixed bridge is an appliance made of porcelain, metal or a combination designed to replace missing teeth in the most natural way possible. This procedure usually takes from two to three appointments to complete and is very similar to having a crown placed on a tooth.
