Dr. Michael Gavin is a native of Onalaska and a 1982 graduate of Onalaska High School. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Dental School.

After receiving his dental degree, Dr Gavin trained three years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. While on active duty, Dr. Gavin served in the Naval Dental Center in Florida and North Carolina. During his tour of duty with the Navy, Dr Gavin was attached with the U.S. Marines Corps. It was during this time that Dr. Gavin was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to provide humanitarian dental care to Haitian immigrants.

Dr. Gavin has been practicing dentistry since 1990 and his experience and clinical knowledge has given him the opportunity to be a dental consultant for the Onalaska Care Center and clinical advisor for Midwest Insurance Companies.

Dr. Gavin is currently training with the Pankey Institute in Miami, Florida. The Pankey Institute is post graduate facility with emphasis on advanced dental techniques.
